Hungarian Apricot Fiesta

Boldogkőváralja, 6. July

Bestillo Pálinka House invites you and your family to a fun day of merriment that presents the essence of the Abaúj region for the eighth time. This year’s gastronomic array is certainly stylish! We’ll be joined by Anyukám Mondta, Ikon, Nomád, Első Mádi Borház, Leves and the local grandmas who will be creating delicious dishes and bites from Gönci apricots. And you can also taste Mádi Sajtok cheeses, cold-pressed oils, homemade cakes and biscuits, jams and cordials. And, of course, you can buy beautiful Gönci apricots too. Bab és Víz are bringing coffee, Tokaji Y Generation their Tokaji wines, and Mohácsi Sör Manufaktúra brewery their beers. And. naturally, you can taste BESTILLO Pálinka in short and long versions.

Throughout the day there will be a series of gastronomic workshops with interesting themes. For example, Gyümölcsért Kft. shows our commitment to Gönci apricots with the book Virágba borulva (Bursting into Flower).

The Kelet Brass Band and Canarro will be providing atmosphere with great music during the day. Later Önkontroll will warm up the audience for the solo concert by Barna Pély in the evening.

Children will find plenty to amuse them all day long. We have a straw bale castle, competitions, pottery, henna painting, braiding, felting and for the surprise we’ve planned for you, it might be best to bring a change of clothes… Szekler storyteller and foot puppeteer Szende Csernik will charm children and adults alike in the afternoon.

Participation in the event is free, but guests must register. You can register here on this page where the exact programme is.

Apricot lovers of the world unite! Join us to celebrate on 6th July in Boldogkőváralja!
